WORK SCOPE
Creative Direction, Logo Design, Menu Design, Signage Design
Set in a Hong Kong heritage hotel, Fortune Villa is a Chinese restaurant infused with traditional ambience – furnished with antique window panes, red table cloths and cherry brown fittings. To pair with its interiors, our menu design stems from a decorative porcelain pattern dated back from the early Qing dynasty, known as “Wan Shou Wu Jiang” – a greeting reserved for emperors birthdays in the past.
Hand-painted graphics symbolising fortune, longevity and joy are remixed to form a tailored pattern, while the hotel name 1881 (also the year when the building was established) is cleverly incorporated in the circular frame. The logo is of a vertical Chinese stamp arrangement, anchoring the pattern through its structural elegance.
